The largest oil producer in Manitoba, Tundra Oil & Gas has a history of responsible operations, adopting and mastering technological advances, and supporting environment and community initiatives. The company commenced operations in January 1980 and has since grown by developing new assets and integrating strategic acquisitions. Focused on the Williston Basin, Tundra operates over 95% of its production, which is approximately 38,000 barrels of light crude oil per day.

HISTORIC DISCOVERY
Tundra’s oil exploration activities led to the largest oil discovery in Manitoba since the 1950s. The oil field is located near Sinclair, Manitoba. Today, Tundra continues to develop this reservoir using enhanced oil recovery methods.

Tundra employs a total of 300 people at its corporate head office in Winnipeg, Manitoba; at its field office in Virden, Manitoba, overseeing the operation of approximately 3,500 wells; and at its technical office in Calgary, Alberta, providing geological, geophysical and reservoir engineering support and mineral leasing.
